The dynamic Coustic installation team of Jason Planck and Craig Mars, along with RSM Racing of Mississauga, Ontario Canada, have combined their talents to build the hottest Saturn ION on the road today. With its high performance standards, cosmetic appeal and affordability, the new Saturn ION is one of the most talked about cars in its class. It was only natural to outfit such a vehicle with mobile audio that exhibits the same qualities. Coustic amps and subwoofers were a perfect fit.

3 Coustic dual voice coil 10" Carbon Fiber woofers (CF1044) were mounted in a custom designed ported enclosure and then trimmed with a custom fabricated fiberglass piece painted silver to match the exterior paint of the car.

The factory speakers were replaced and are powered by a Coustic 481QE amplifier adjacent to a Coustic 801DB amplifier powering three 10" Coustic Carbon Fiber subwoofers (CF1044).

Both the amps are mounted in the trunk on a custom fabricated fiberglass amp tray painted silver to match the exterior of the car. The amp tray is covered with a custom fabricated trim piece that is cut into the "Coustic ovals", the brand's most commonly recognized feature.

StreetWires connections and wire were used throughout the install to guarantee maximum power and sound quality.

The Rosen Entertainment CD/DVD/MP3/MPEG/JPEG/TV Tuner/AM/FM radio featuring its own video screen is mounted in the factory location in the dash.

An Audiocontrol EQL Series 2 equalizer was used to maximize sound quality and is mounted on the back of the passenger seat.

Rosen Entertainment provided two video monitors that are displayed in a custom fiberglass trim piece mounted to the roof of the trunk on the inside.

Under the hood, RSM Racing exhibits its passion for performance by showcasing performance parts such as a supercharger, complete custom exhaust with dual tips, blow off valve, and billet strut bar just to name a few.

Custom springs and coilovers by RSM Racing keep the ION stuck to the road with help from BF Goodrich tire and Konig wheels.

In response to the increased horsepower, a custom 4-wheel disc brake system was designed to give the ION plenty of stopping power.
